Stacey Woods Photography Blog bio picture

So glad you stopped by!

Hello.  I'm Stacey Woods, and I'm a natural-light childrens photographer serving greater Tampa Bay.  Welcome to my photography blog!  This is where I will share my recent work - and my heart - with you.  Client sneak peeks, scheduling announcements and updates, beautiful new offerings and products, and the occasional (okay, frequent) story (or two) about my crazy (but sweet) life with two kids.  ;)  Complete with Southern drawl and enunciations, no less!  My hope is that you'll grab a glass of sweet tea, pull up a chair, settle in nice and comfy, and visit often.  I'm so glad you're here.

SNOW WHITE

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this session with Tammy, Bryan, Emilia and Auntie Beth.  Their family is precious, and I have looked forward to this session for months!  Actually, I photographed them just last fall during my holiday mini-sessions, and was so excited to have them book a full session...

THE DRESS. (AND A LITTLE PRESS.)

As some of you know I visited my family in Kentucky a couple of weeks ago (more images to come, a little later, from our time together).  While I was there, I seized the opportunity to photograph my daughter wearing a dress that was mine as a little girl, in a field in my hometown.

When...

DOS. DEUX. TWO.

Our darling baby girl turned two last week.  We celebrated.  We sang.  We clapped.  I cried, as everyone expected.  And if you’ve been reading this blog for more than a minute, then you know that my crying over my children was never a question in the first place.
So whether I want her to be or...

THE COMFORTS OF HOME

I had the chance to spend the morning with a really lovely family this past week.  They were warm, relaxed, comfortable, and made me feel right at home too.  I love when sessions just play out this way.  It means that they seem to forget a little bit that I’m there, and we capture their...

This and That… More or Less.

I have started many a blog entry recently, only to save it to drafts and never finish it… then I’d come back and restart a new post… save that one to draft, etc.  And guess how many I’ve actually published?  ;)  I think I’ve gotten a little bogged down with various projects and different things,...

the wait | madeira beach maternity photographer

I spent a recent morning with the sweetest couple ~ who are going to make fantastic parents very soon.

One of the most exciting things about their pregnancy is that they’re waiting to find out the gender of the baby until he or she is born.  I LOVE THAT!  (Granted, I didn’t have the courage ~...

growing up | st petersburg baby photographer

I really wonder sometimes why I am so lucky.  I have the honor of documenting so many babies’ first weeks of life. . .  and again when they’re a little older as they crawl throughout their home and discover so many new things.  Then again when they’re walking, talking, growing up.  It’s been such a...

ella’s baby sister

Remember sweet Ella from my post below?

Well, she’s learning how to be a big sister!  I got to spend the morning with Ella, baby Anna, and their sweet parents recently to photograph them again… only this time, as a brand new family of four.
Aren’t they cute snuggled up in the bassinet together??  Ella has the...

waiting for anna | tampa maternity photography

I always love turning my lens on these gorgeous girls.  Jill’s maternity shoot was not just directed toward herself and her beautiful tummy, but it was also very much about Ella, who is going to make for one fine big sister.  This is the third time I’ve photographed this family, and I can’t wait to...

the superheroes | part one

I recently got to hang out with two young superheroes-in-training.  Both of these oh-so-cute brothers were celebrating their birthdays, and I got to play with them for a little while before their celebration took place at the Hall of Justice.
First, we practiced our Lurking.  A superhero always has to be stealthy, on the...
