“Photographers tend not to photograph what they can’t see, which is the very reason one should try to attempt it. Otherwise we’re going to go on forever just photographing more faces and more rooms and more places. Photography has to transcend description. It has to go beyond description to bring insight into the subject, or reveal the subject, not as it looks, but how does it feel?”

All sessions with Stacey are conducted on-location in the Tampa Bay area, whether you prefer your own home, a local park or nature preserve, your favorite beach or farmers market... anywhere you love to be.  Where it feels like home. Where you can be comfortable and real.

You're encouraged to plan "normal" activities for your session, incorporating little things that are special to your family. . . baking cookies, lounging in bed, taking grand bubble baths, visiting a museum or library, or simply having fun in the backyard.  Stacey strives to capture your family authentically, just as you are... laughing, relaxing, enjoying one another.

Your Signature Session will last one to two hours (sometimes longer for newborns) which leaves plenty of time for snacks, diaper changes, even a short break.  Stacey will take the time to get to know your children and make them feel at ease before the camera starts to click.  As a mother herself, Stacey will create images that reveal your child's heart.

For newborns, it is recommended that you schedule your session with Stacey before your baby arrives, so that Stacey can pencil in your due date.  These time-sensitive sessions should ideally take place within the baby's first 10 days of life.  During these first few days, your little one will sleep more soundly for a longer period of time, and "curl up" more willingly.  Stacey will meet you at home to document the beginning of your amazing journey together.

The most important thing you can do to prepare for the session is to simply relax, be yourself, and come with an open heart.  You'll love the results.
