Apparently, the Wise Men were Notre Dame fans....

My funny kid. I declare, he makes me laugh, HARD, at least once every day. Today I walked by the coffee table, where I've put out my Nativity set (one of my FAVORITE gifts from last Christmas!!). I noticed something funny.... one of the wise men was wearing a football helmet!!! I almost spit out my drink!

Aren't little boys the FUNNIEST creatures ever?!?! I don't know what in the world I'd do without my little prankster. Love his heart!

And here's a "bokeh" shot of my Christmas tree. I've really been into these types of images lately... (fyi, "bokeh" is the photography term for "out of focus points of light" such as these.) I find this sort of thing fascinating!!

Beautiful Life...

I love the opportunity to photograph an expecting mother. It's a time that's so special and so fleeting. (Although at 8 months and counting, I certainly know that time does not SEEM fleeting! It seems to drag on forever, doesn't it?!) Anyhow, I had the chance to photograph Kilty and her husband Robert, and I'm telling you... this is going to be one lucky child, to be surrounded by so much love. They were the sweetest couple, and you could just see them beaming when the other walked into the room. It was such an honor to witness!!

Doesn't she have the most perfect tummy?? I can tell where the little guy/gal is lying in this shot... can you? Isn't that amazing? New life never ceases to make me stop for a moment, and just be thankful. :)

Aren't they sweet? And I adore her laugh... so spirited, and so genuine. She really just lit up every time Robert got near her. It was precious to watch!

I looooooove this last image.... just love it to pieces! I'm a "simple" girl, and I love the lighting and simplicity of this photograph.

I have so many more! But you'll have to bribe Kilty to show them to you once I get her gallery posted online... lol! ;) I'm sooooo glad she booked my baby plan. I get to photograph their precious newborn next month! Can't wait to meet you, little one!! XO

I'm back!!

My website is running smoothly, I've been getting email this weekend, print orders are coming in, everything looks to be back on track!! Yay! (If you've sent me an email and I haven't responded to you, then I simply haven't gotten your email... so please, either resend, or call me at 727.698.0344. My email should be working now, though! Thanks!!)

A quick update for those of you who are waiting on proofs or waiting on delivery of prints before Christmas: all client proof galleries will be posted online by Friday afternoon! And the UPS guy has been my best friend for the past two weeks, I think he's dropped off shipments almost every day! Plus, I'm expecting 13 deliveries this week!! Yes, 13! Crazy, huh?! So all clients who are expecting delivery of Christmas cards or prints in time for the holidays, should have those in-hand by this weekend, if all deliveries go as planned! :) I just got three boxes of prints in this morning, so I'll be making some phone calls later on today to arrange deliveries for those! Watch your email and telephones, y'all! :)

Oh, and watch the blog later on this afternoon. When I can breathe again, I'll be posting some images from a recent maternity shoot!! Sooo exciting!

Three girls.... and a stallion!!

Well there's a title that'll grab ya, huh? ;) I had SOOOO much fun at this session..... These girls were up for any crazy idea I threw at them... and a billion stops around downtown Clearwater, too! From the courthouse steps, to some funky garage doors, to lying in the middle of a field... which, incidentally, is where we came upon the horse!! Well, okay, the horse actually happened upon us. I was shooting this with Brooke....

and heard Morgan say, "Oh my gosh, look at that horse!" I looked behind me, and there was a HUGE majestic animal just parading out of his trailer, at the other end of the grassy field we were in, preparing to draw a carriage in a wedding later that evening! I was so glad his owners let us "borrow" him for a few shots... can you believe this?!

I was honored to photograph these girls and their mama. I have almost been in tears proofing through these, I'll admit! Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones, maybe it's cause it's almost Christmas and I miss my own Mom, but maybe, just maybe, it's the sweet smile on Lori's face as she holds her daughters tight.... that just gets me... right... here..... :)

And possibly my favorite shot from the evening.... I have to say I felt very "Tara Whitney-ish" shooting this one!! :) (Double-click on it to lose the "scrunched-up-ness".)

It's MY Birthday this time!

Yep.  I'm old today.  ;)  Not really... I still feel like I'm in my twenties most of the time, and that's all that counts, right???  But alas, I'm officially "in my thirties" now.  Not just 30.  IN my thirties.  *big sigh* I had a wonderful birthday though!  My sweet husband brought me roses to work, my darling son sang "Haaaappy Birrrrtdaaay to ya-uuuu" (yes, that's written in plain "Southern"... can't you tell?) at least seven times to me throughout the day and evening.  We baked homemade Birthday Brownies tonight.  Oh my gosh..... the Barefoot Contessa's Outrageous Brownies (see, I was only kidding about my brownies-out-of-a-box!).  If you don't have the recipe yourself, then shame on you.  These brownies are out of this world.  Go get the recipe book, or download/print that link above!!!  They're wonderful.  Sinfully rich and oh so chocolatey, you can honestly only eat one or you'll pass out from pure bliss.  ;)

I also got a Shootsac for my birthday!!! Soooo excited, I can't wait until Fedex brings it to me! Perhaps the best part, was my birthday card from Parker. I overheard he and Daddy whispering together, so I tiptoed into the living room to catch this.....

Love their hearts. Then Parker ran up to me and presented me with this beautiful card.... a drawing of our little family. (Well, yes, Daddy helped him a little.) ;)

Parker even drew in a very little-known detail about Mama.... can you find it?? ;)

Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE my two boys???? Ohhhh... I love them to pieces.
